IGT announces new appointments to revamp leadership team

International Game Technology, a prominent company in the gaming industry, has introduced new members to its board and executive leadership.

Initially, Marco Drago has chosen to resign from his position as a non-executive director. He will continue to be a part of the company until the conclusion of his term and will leave following the Annual General Meeting on May 14.

Marco Drago has held the position of Non-Executive Director on the IGT board since its establishment in 2015. He has also been a member of several other prominent companies and has over 55 years of impressive career experience.

During this period, Enrico Drago, the son of Marco Drago, will become a Non-Executive Director on the board of IGT. He will step down from his position as CEO of the PlayDigital division at IGT.

In September 2021, Enrico Drago assumed the role of CEO for IGT PlayDigital after previously working as the senior vice president for three years. He has accumulated approximately 25 years of professional experience, according to IGT.

Speaking of PlayDigital, the brand will be joined by Gil Rotem, who will step down from his position as president of iGaming to serve as the division’s new president. In this position, Rotem will report directly to IGT’s CEO, Vince Sadusky.

In 2021, Rotem became a part of IGT, initially working as the president of iGaming for PlayDigital. During his time in this role, he played a vital role in acquiring iSoftBet and expanding the division’s collection of games and tools for engagement. With more than two decades of experience and 15 years specifically at bet365, Rotem is highly qualified to lead IGT’s PlayDigital sector.

The changes mentioned earlier will take effect on April 1st.
