According to TMZ Sports, the individual, who is 33 years old, was arrested and taken to the Clark County Detention Center.

According to KSNV, a Las Vegas TV station, Jones is facing two charges of breaching a temporary protective order in connection to a domestic violence incident.

According to reports, he was able to pay his bail on Friday and was not recorded as being in custody at the Clark County Detention Center as of Friday morning.

Jones is set to make an appearance at the local court on December 4.

Jones Reportedly Hospitalized

According to TMZ Sports, Jones was recently admitted to a psychiatric facility and prescribed medication. The report states that he did not consent to being a patient or taking the medication.

According to KSNV, Jones was absent for the initial two matches of the regular season. The report stated that he was then put on the Raiders’ reserve/non-football illness list. The report also mentioned that he was spotted crying on social media.

In the beginning of this month, Jones expressed anger towards certain people, used profanity, and voiced disapproval of the Raiders’ choice to bar him from their gym.

According to the Bleacher Report, the Raiders dispatched a crisis response team to address the online outbursts of an individual at his home. The report stated that a health professional, named Dr. Heather Thanepohn by Jones, visited him and had a conversation with him. The Bleacher Report also mentioned that she informed him that he was at risk.

During a press conference on Friday, Raiders Head Coach Josh McDaniels declined to comment on Jones’s situation.

“There have been no updates on our part regarding the status and other matters,” stated McDaniels. “He remains in his current position. I am not fully informed on the details.”

Legal Matter

The Raiders wish for Chandler Jones to receive the necessary care. The team expressed their thoughts for him, his family, and everyone involved in a statement shared on the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter. As the situation is now in the hands of the law, the team will not be making any additional comments.

McDaniels previously referred to the altercations involving Jones as a “confidential issue” and a “personal circumstance.”

College, Pro Career

Jones attended Syracuse University where he played football at the collegiate level. He was then chosen by the New England Patriots in the initial round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Additionally, he was a member of the Arizona Cardinals team.

In 2022, Jones and the Raiders reached a three-year agreement worth $51 million.

The coach has stated that NFL player Chandler Jones was apprehended by law enforcement in Las Vegas, but maintains that it is a personal issue. This was reported on Casino.org.
